Intermezzo returns on 2nd October
We have been delighted to return to rehearsals over the summer, working hard on a programme called Songs of Perseverance and Songs of Rejoicing. The repertoire ranges from gospel (Hogan - Didn't My Lord Deliver Daniel?), through steadfast (Runestad - I Will Lift Mine Eyes) to purely joyful (Augustinas - Cantate Domino) and also includes music by Geillo, Whitacre, Ticheli, and Pärt. Plus works with special guest percussionists!
The concert takes place on Saturday 2nd October in the University Church of St Mary the Virgin, High St, Oxford. We hope it will lift your mood after a difficult year and a half. Tickets are available now from https://www.wegottickets.com/OxfordIntermezzo.
We will be following COVID precautions which will depend on guidance from the government and the venue on the concert day. Please follow any one-way signs, observe social distancing when arriving and departing, and (even if it is not required by the venue) we do recommend that you wear a face covering throughout, unless exempt. You must not attend the event if you are supposed to be self-isolating; we will of course offer a refund in such circumstances. We may be required to collect your contact information for track & trace. We will seat the audience in socially-distanced groups. Our current expectation is that there will not be an interval, but there will be a short break in the middle of the concert to allow the singers to recover!
